Cath Lab Technician
Location: Waterbury, Connecticut (Onsite)
Work Type: Contract (90 Days)
Schedule: 5 Days / Week (8-Hour Shifts)
Hours: 40 Hours per Week
Experience Required: Minimum 1 Year
Shift Details
• Day Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
• Schedule: Monday - Friday

The Cath Lab Technician is responsible for assisting in diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab. This role includes patient preparation, procedural support, hemodynamic monitoring, and ensuring high-quality patient care throughout procedures.
The technician will collaborate closely with physicians and the cardiac care team to ensure safe and effective procedure outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Care & Preparation
• Assess, prepare, and position patients for cardiac procedures
• Develop and implement patient care plans
• Ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures
Clinical & Procedural Support
• Assist in diagnostic, therapeutic, and interventional procedures
• Perform conscious sedation and hemodynamic monitoring
• Communicate patient condition before, during, and after procedures
• Set up and manage equipment and supplies
Monitoring & Documentation
• Monitor patient vitals and procedural responses
• Document patient care and procedural details accurately
• Ensure effective communication with the care team
Equipment & Safety
• Prepare Cath Lab equipment before procedures
• Ensure proper functioning of all devices
• Maintain sterile technique and safety protocols
Must-Have Qualifications
• Minimum 1+ year of Cath Lab / invasive cardiology experience
BLS & ACLS Certifications (Required)
• Certification: RT(R) or RCIS (Required)
• Experience with hemodynamic monitoring and sedation
• Ability to work in fast-paced procedural environments
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience as a Traveler Cath Lab Technician
• Experience in high-volume Cath Labs
• Strong procedural and interventional support experience
