The Director Supply Chain is a leader responsible for designing, optimizing, and executing end-to-end supply chain and distribution strategies that ensure product availability, operational efficiency, and scalable growth. This role drives continuous improvement across systems, processes, and warehouse operations while translating supply chain strategy into practical, data-driven execution. The Director Supply Chain partners closely with Operations, Sales, Finance, IT, and Procurement to ensure SKU-level accuracy, efficient inventory deployment, and innovative solutions to complex distribution challenges.
This role is a representative of Andrews culture and has the responsibility to embody Andrews Values and drive service excellence by demonstrating our Standards for Service Professionals.

A Director Supply Chain can be expected to perform the following tasks in this role as a routine part of their job:
  • Supply Chain Strategy (25%)

  • Develops and executes distribution-focused supply chain strategies aligned to business growth, service-level expectations, and cost targets.

  • Translates enterprise supply chain strategy into scalable warehouse, transportation, and inventory operating models.

  • Leads end-to-end planning and execution of large-scale, enterprise initiatives across Supply Chain.

  • Leads network optimization initiatives including facility utilization, throughput capacity, and distribution footprint.

  • Systems, Processes, Operational Efficiency and Problem Resolution (25%)

  • Owns supply chain systems effectiveness, including WMS, ERP, forecasting, and inventory management tools.

  • Standardizes and optimizes distribution processes to improve accuracy, productivity, and cost per case.

  • Tracks progress and performance using clear metrics; provide executive-level updates, remove blockers, and drive timely decisions.

  • Drives continuous improvement through Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies to eliminate waste and increase operational efficiency.

  • Analyzes complex supply chain constraints, assess risk, and make informed decisions that balance service, cost, and capacity.

  • Proactively identifies operational bottlenecks and implement sustainable solutions.

  • Leads scenario modeling and contingency planning for supply disruptions, demand volatility, and capacity constraints.

  • SKU Application and Inventory Management (15%)

  • Sets program and portfolio governance (operating rhythms, decision forums, escalation paths, and accountability) to ensure disciplined execution.

  • Provides strategic oversight of SKU proliferation, slotting strategies, and item-level inventory deployment across distribution centers.

  • Partners with Customer Growth Strategy teams to align SKU application with demand patterns, service requirements, and profitability.

  • Ensures high levels of inventory accuracy, cycle counting discipline, and root-cause resolution for variances

  • Proactively manages risks and issues; implements mitigation plans and ensures delivery against commitments.
  • 13K SKU / Hometown Combinations, 75+ suppliers

  • Innovation and Continuous Improvement (10%)

  • Champions innovative thinking across distribution operations, systems design, and workforce models.

  • Drives process improvements and operational efficiencies by standardizing best practices, improving mechanisms, and scaling repeatable playbooks.

  • Evaluates and pilots new technologies, automation, and process improvements to enhance speed, accuracy, and scalability.

  • Fosters a culture of curiosity, experimentation, and data-driven decision-making.

  • Cross-Functional Leadership and Collaboration (10%)

  • Builds, leads, and develops high-performing supply chain teams.

  • Serves as a trusted partner to executive leadership, translating operational insights into strategic recommendations.

  • Engages and aligns senior stakeholders across Supply Chain, Finance, Information Technology, Sales Operations, and other partner teams to deliver outcomes.

  • Manages one or more Supply Chain teams ensuring proper training, development, performance coaching and evaluation.
