Job description

JOB SUMMARY:    

Lead Chef on the TVCCA Senior Nutrition Food Truck

Assists with all activities of the commissary to prepare and present all

food items to be served on the food truck.  Travel to various sites where

food will be prepared, and served.  Prepare food in accordance with current

applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations with established

TVCCA’s policies and procedures.  Assist the commissary staff in packaging and

assembly of food products and supplies needed for the food truck and nutrition sites. Assist in daily cleaning and sanitation of food truck and commissary equipment, pots, pans, utensils, floors and refrigeration units.

Position schedule varies, based on food truck events and location. This is a Per Diem Position.

Weekends needed.


Required Skills

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associates Degree in Culinary Arts and 3-5 years of experience, or 7 years of experience cooking and supervising in the food industry.
  • Possess a valid ServSafe or equivalent certificate.
  • Possess current Connecticut Driver’s License.
  • Ability to drive and park a 30’ food truck
  • Basic computer skills required.
