Job Description

Position Overview

As an Origination Manager, you will be responsible for marketing the company's capabilities and projects to its customers. This role will also play a key part in the execution of commercial offtake arrangements (Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) , Build-Transfers (BTAs), Development Transfers (DTAs) or Asset Purchases (APAs). The ideal candidate brings utility-scale energy commercial experience, a strong bias for action, broad understanding of energy markets, and experience leading internal and external stakeholder conversations. This role will work on a variety of technologies critical to Invenergy Business strategy including solar, wind, battery storage, and natural gas fired generation. This is a highly visible role requiring clear communication, curiosity, organization, and proficient coordination across multiple facets of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Support Director of Origination and commercial leadership in the execution of company goals

  • Develop and maintain customer engagement, serving as the primary commercial interface with utilities, Co-Ops, and other key partners

  • Oversee the development of proposals, pricing, due diligence, presentations, and responses for RFPs

  • Prepare and deliver internal presentations, pricing proposals, and business updates to internal stakeholders

  • Originate, structure, and execute utility-scale commercial transactions, including PPAs, tolling agreements, and other customer contracts

  • Develop origination strategies aligned with market fundamentals, asset development pipelines, and long-term company objectives

  • Coordinate closely with internal Development, Finance, Engineering, Regulatory Affairs, and other departments to develop solutions for customers

  • Coordinate with Sales Operations Managers and Analysts to progress opportunities towards execution

  • Maintain CRMwith latest status of opportunities and outreach efforts

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related field

  • At least5-10 years of relevant energy industry experience

  • Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the future

Preferred Qualifications

  • Renewable or thermal project development or execution experience

  • Experience managing contracting process, negotiating agreements

  • Experience with project pricing and pricing projects

  • Knowledgeof power markets, with a preference for MISO, SERC, TVA, or PJM customers, associated transactions, and market design

  • MBA (or similar advanced degree preferred)

Base Pay

$125,000.00 - $165,000.00 USD Annual
Bonus: 25% - 40%

The base pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target salary for the position. Invenergy considers a number of factors when determining base pay offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education and skills.
