General Summary
The Assistant to the Head of Television will provide full administrative and project management support to the Head of Television and the LAIKA Live Action department.
Job Functions
  • Provide on-going administrative support to the Head of Television including phone coverage, schedule coordination, office organization, travel arrangements, and expense reports.
  • Work closely with cross-functional Live Action teams to ensure all administrative needs are met.
  • Work closely with cross-functional LAIKA teams to ensure effective communication and alignment with LAIKA Live Action.
  • Attend meetings and provide notes, meeting recaps, and action items to relevant parties.
  • Assist in preparing internal and external presentations of new and existing properties and projects.
  • Provide on-going creative support to the Head of Television and the broader Live Action team including, but not limited to, project and talent tracking, reading a heavy volume of source material, generating talents lists, and giving notes on existing and incoming material.
  • Actively monitor target resources for potential source material and new talent.
  • Act as liaison for external partners including agencies, writers, production partners, talent, etc.
  • Regularly meet with contemporaries in the community to gather market intelligence and keep the department plugged in to industry trends.
Qualifications
  • 1-2+ years of industry experience, preferably at talent agencies or other entertainment companies.
  • Avid reader with demonstrated skillset in story analysis, and strong knowledge of industry trends.
  • Demonstrated tact and diplomacy with proven ability to use discretion, sound judgment, and maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize and multi-task.
  • Highly proficient in entire MS Office Suite; strong Excel & PowerPoint skills.
