Pay Range: $20.14 - $24.47 hourly
Job Description: Your Piece of the Puzzle
NFM is looking for a Loss Prevention Specialist to monitor a closed-circuit TV security system for signs of illegal activities, in order to protect company assets and identify customers and/or staff who need assistance. This person will be responsible for apprehending and detaining individuals involved in illegal activities.
Job Duties: A Day in the Life
  • Assist: Help investigators in making stops, detentions and apprehensions. Call 911 when needed and record/recover any evidence seized during an apprehension
  • Support: Stop, apprehend and detain shoplifters and write incident reports for criminal activity
  • Monitor:Track retail, warehouse and parking areas via closed circuit TV system and report information to the appropriate staff
  • Assess: Surveil staff for internal theft and policy violations, which are to be reported to Human Resources
  • Collaborate:Work with the display team to secure vulnerable merchandise
  • Report:Keep a computerized journal of daily activities and conduct safety checks to audit compliance with security policies.

Qualifications: Can You Check These Boxes?
  • High School Diploma/GED preferred
  • 1 year of security or customer service-related experience preferred
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
  • Minimum 6 months of Retail Loss Prevention Experience
  • Satisfactorily complete NFM Response to Resistance and First Responder training courses training course within ninety (90) days of employment
  • Ability to work night, weekend and/or early morning hours based on business needs
  • Pre-employment screening includes, but isn't limited to, drug screen and criminal background check
