Summary
The Social Media Coordinator will take or gather photos from events and create posts for dept social media.
Duties and Responsibilities
This position is primarily responsible to:
  • ??Take photos of events when available and /or as requested.
  • ??Gather photos from profs and students.
  • ??Gather information about events or people photographed.
  • ??Create Facebook and Instagram posts and post 2-3 times week. Use a template for consistency of look.
  • Other opportunities for social media posts and TV wall slides include:
    • alumni photos stating where they are working, maybe a one- or two-line testimonial (name - including maiden name it relevant, something about how the comm major helps them in their professional or personal lives)
    • alumni features
    • faculty feature with brief description
    • any extracurricular opportunities with a brief description (such as student events, coffee with students, informal classroom discussions at the Bean, Christmas parties, students getting awards, etc.)
    • photos provided by our students of their gatherings/work nights/whatever along with a brief description
    • students practicums

• Other duties as assigned
