The Machine Operator is responsible for the production and inspection of all work orders assigned. This role is primarily responsible for (operation, housekeeping and other functional attributes) of the Fin Tube milling centers, creating product for quality review, the preparation and review of material scans for the start of production, conducting quality check during production, assigned tasks also include operation of the Overhead crane as needed. Strong focus on quality and troubleshooting of tools and other production elements also identifying defects of tubes during production. Adhere to all safety and environmental guidelines. Works directly with team lead for work assignment and reports to Shift Supervisor.
Base Pay: $21.00/hr. - $21.00/hr.
Schedule: Thursday & Friday 7:00am-3:00pm, Saturday & Sunday 7:00am-7:00pm
Pay: Bi-Weekly

Responsibilities
Machine Operator Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the set-up and operation of Fin Tube machines ( understanding tube types, material dimensions, identifying of defects, understanding tube structure to identify condenser/boiler conformance or nonconformance) to achieve a series of progressive milling operations, while holding precise tolerances and finishing requirements per customer drawings.
  • Inspect in process material as specified in work instructions, report any material found not meeting the criteria to ensure proper steps are taken to identify and or dispose of this material following the correct deposition methods.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work place while ensuring that all P.P.E, equipment safeguarding and protective devices are functioning and utilized in accordance with all EHS safety standards.
  • Record quality data measured, scrap counts and material used by using WFS to ensure that inventory and product movements are recorded accurately.

Machine Operator Qualifications:

  • Good written and communication skills

  • Perform related duties as assigned to meet requirements of the position and organizational expectations.
  • Able to perform set-ups and quality trouble shooting as instructed to minimize impact to production flow.
  • Recognized as a strong contributor within the organization
  • High school diploma or G.E.D. (preferred)
  • CNC machining experience (a plus)
  • Understanding of measurement math as it relates to decimals and fractions also the ability to perform other basic math functions.
  • Manufacturing experience preferably with knowledge of machine function and interface such as (HMI input and output, use of calibration methods and programing, use of printing and or labeling auxiliaries also direct computer input for production/order start and finish operations.

  • Involves periods of, standing, walking, and negotiating stairs, ladders, elevated catwalks and platforms in hot or cold production environment on slippery surfaces for the purpose of directing operations and evaluating situations.
  • Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (e.g., safety glasses, safety shoes, hard hat, ear plugs, etc.)
  • Occasionally lift up to 50lbs Maximum.
