Supervisor: Director of Clinical and Ambulatory Services


What You'll Do:

  • Responsible for taking x-rays of patients in the office.
  • Performs radiological duties as prescribed by Physician and/or Physician Assistant
  • Determines proper technique for patient condition
  • Ensures safe positioning of patient while undergoing x-ray procedure
  • Responds to physician x-ray concerns 
  • Coordinates time off and timekeeping with Radiology Technologist responsible for payroll coordination
  • Escorts patients though office from and to exam rooms before/after procedure
  • Utilizes PACS system for image reproduction
  • Retrieves film for physician prior to patient visits, re-files film as necessary
  • Ensures Texas State Department of Radiation procedures are followed

Requirements

What You'll Need:

  •  Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent. GMRT and ARRT certification.
  • 1-2 years experience.  
  • Technical skills. Radiology and medical terminology required.. 
  • Ability to communicate effectively. Must be able to develop and maintain effective relationships. Must be able to assist patients in positioning of procedures.
  • Other duties to be assigned as necessary and may vary at times, as needed by your immediate supervisor or as directed by the company.
  • Requires prolonged sitting, stretching, and some bending. Requires eye hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopies, telephone, and other equipment.
