Job Summary

The KPB Client Service Associate works in a Salesforce task environment to provide trust administration to support the assigned Trust Officer(s)/ Fiduciary Strategist to effectively manage accounts while maintaining an optimal level of client service.

Essential Functions

  • Performs day-to-day trust administration functions on assigned accounts accurately and by necessary deadlines (i.e., open accounts, close accounts, asset maintenance, process bills, cash receipts, NTAC’S/discretionary’s etc.); interfaces with centralized support areas such as Fiduciary Control Group, Trust Risk Management, Trust Operations, Trust Tax, Revenue Administration and Trust Real Estate to ensure completion.

  • Reads and understands Trust Agreements and related documents for administrative purposes.

  • Ensures fees are set up correctly as directed by Trust Officer/Fiduciary Strategist.

  • Monitors accounts on a daily basis for overdrafts and un-invested cash and keeps Trust Officer/Fiduciary Strategist informed.

  • Use cash forecasting to determine approximate amount needed in accounts over a period of time based on the account’s needs and trends, working closely with the Investment Officer.

  • Builds and maintains strong client contact and provides sales support to team.

  • Follows-up on client issues and relays information to clients through correspondence, telephone communications and conferences. Resolves client requests and refers complex inquiries to Trust Officer/Fiduciary Strategist.

  • May serve as primary contact for some account relationships.

  • Assists Trust Officer/Fiduciary Strategist in supporting business activity through Salesforce, planning client meetings, and preparing client presentations, as needed.

  • Builds and maintains effective working relationships with other team members/partners to ensure high quality and timely administration of assigned accounts.

  • Prepares various reports, correspondence, technical documents and special projects as requested.

  • Leads by example and demonstrates client focus and teamwork towards both clients and KeyBank employees; provides back-up to other team members.

  • Mitigates risk by servicing accounts in compliance with KeyBank policies and procedures, as well as with regulatory and legal requirements.

  • Performs other duties as assigned; duties, responsibilities and/or activities may change, or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice

  • Complies with KeyBank policies and procedures, including without limitation, always acting professionally, conducting business ethically, avoiding conflicts of interest, and acting in the best interests of Key’s clients and Key.

Education

  • Associate's Degree or equivalent experience (preferred)

Work Experience

  • A minimum of 3 years related work experience or equivalent combination of work/educational background (required)

Skills

  • General knowledge of financial products and services, including banking, trust and investments.

  • Demonstrated proficiency and effectiveness in client service skills (including handling client/prospect and Center of Influence (COI) inquiries and relationships), communication skills (including verbal, phone and written), and problem resolution skills.

  • Ability to maintain all servicing aspects of the client relationship.

  • Ability to exercise discretion due to accessing and handling highly sensitive information.

  • Ability to learn and use proprietary software, databases and systems.

  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office Applications.

Physical Demands

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

This position is eligible to earn a base hourly rate in the range of $25.00 - $38.46 per hour. Placement within the pay range may differ based upon various factors, including but not limited to skills, experience and geographic location. Compensation for this role also includes incentive compensation which may include production, commission, and/or discretionary incentives.
