Job Description
Bryn Mawr Trust, a WSFS Company, provides locally managed and collaborative wealth management solutions, including a broad array of planning and advisory services, investment management, trust and estate planning, brokerage and investment services to individual, corporate, and institutional clients through multiple integrated businesses.
The Senior Wealth and Trust Advisor is responsible for maintaining and deepening ongoing relationships with clients while overseeing the comprehensive delivery of wealth management services. The incumbent will leverage extensive fiduciary expertise, industry experience, and bank resources to identify opportunities for relationship growth, retention, and enhancement. In addition, the incumbent will manage a portfolio consisting of large, complex, and highly sensitive client relationships, ensuring proper administration in accordance with fiduciary standards, regulatory requirements, and BMT's policies and procedures, while consistently mitigating risk and upholding the highest standards of care.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for overall client satisfaction by proactively directing, coordinating, and integrating the efforts of appropriate bank resources to ensure the timely, accurate, and high-quality delivery of services, effective issue identification and resolution, and consistent, transparent communication with clients, internal partners, and other wealth team members.

  • Cultivate and maintain strong, trusted relationships with clients, their families, and external advisors (e.g., attorneys, accountants, and other centers of influence) to develop a holistic understanding of clients' financial, estate, and legacy goals; actively identify and pursue opportunities for new business from existing relationships, prospective clients, and referral networks.

  • Build, maintain, and continuously enhance knowledge of fiduciary standards, regulatory expectations, and industry best practices; support Fiduciary Services by leading or contributing to departmental initiatives, projects, and committees; champion Bryn Mawr Trust's client-centric, planning-led approach to relationship management and long-term wealth strategy execution.

  • Utilize financial planning tools and software, as appropriate, and collaborate with a broader multidisciplinary planning team (e.g., investment advisors, tax specialists, and estate planners) to develop, implement, and monitor customized strategies that address clients' financial goals, risk tolerance, and evolving needs.

  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to junior advisors within the Wealth Management Division, including training, professional development, workflow management, and complex problem resolution; serve as a subject matter expert and role model, and represent BMT at external events, professional organizations, and industry forums while actively promoting the organization's mission, strategic objectives, and core values.

  • Ensure all client accounts are administered in strict adherence to fiduciary, legal, compliance, and internal policy standards, including proper documentation, risk management, and audit readiness, while exercising sound judgment in decision-making across complex scenarios.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Must have a college degree (Bachelor's required; advanced degree or professional certifications such as CFP®, CFA, CTFA, or JD preferred).

  • Must have a minimum of 10 years of progressive experience within a trust department of a bank, financial services firm, or law firm, with demonstrated responsibility for managing complex trust and wealth relationships.

  • Must possess a high level of technical expertise in fiduciary administration, tax planning, estate planning concepts, and trust structures, along with a strong and current understanding of financial markets, investment principles, and wealth planning strategies.

  • Strong leadership and influencing skills with the ability to manage priorities, lead cross-functional teams, and drive outcomes in a collaborative environment.

  • Strong client service orientation and a proven commitment to delivering a consistently high standard of service and client experience.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to convey complex information clearly and to handle sensitive or difficult client and management conversations with professionalism, empathy, tact, and firmness.
