Phased Array Ultrasonic Technician (PAUT Level II) - Alabama

TTL is seeking a Phased Array Ultrasonic Technician to support our growing construction services team on projects across Alabama and surrounding states. This role involves performing NDT inspections and interpreting results in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and specifications. The ideal candidate is a certified Level II Phased Array Ultrasonic Technician with experience in multiple NDT methods and the ability to work independently with moderate supervision on a wide variety of projects.

What You'll Do

  • Set up, calibrate and perform Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing utilizing an Omniscan X3 or X4 and nondestructive testing (NDT) using multiple inspection methods
  • Conduct inspections to ensure quality and compliance with applicable codes, standards, and safety regulations
  • Perform and interpret Ultrasonic Testing (UT) and Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing in accordance with AWS, ASME, and API standards
  • Utilize additional methods including magnetic particle (MT) and penetrant testing (PT) in lab and field settings
  • Identify, size, locate, and document flaws or discontinuities
  • Inspect structural steel and bolting per applicable codes
  • Prepare and deliver accurate reports and documentation for clients
  • Use basic computer systems and inspection-related technology
  • Follow procedures, perform calculations, and maintain professional relationships with team members and clients

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • ASNT Level II certification in Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT) and Ultrasonic Testing
  • ASNT Level I or Level II Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), and Penetrant Testing (PT). ICC Bolting and Structural Steel experience is a plus
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic computer and technology proficiency
  • Valid driverโ€™s license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding work
  • Ability to work in outdoor environments under varying weather conditions
  • Comfortable working at heights and operating aerial lifts
