About the Position

Title: Regional Sourcing Manager - North America

Reports to: Sourcing Director,

Location: Material Processing location - Coalville, England

The Regional Sourcing Manager reports directly into Global Category & Best Cost Country Sourcing Director and serves as the main point of contact for direct material spend categories across multiple categories for North America region. This is truly global role of managing cross category spend across NA region business units in Terex Material Processing (MP) operating segment. The position holder is responsible for the development and execution of category sourcing strategies and plan that delivers lowest total cost of ownership. Success in this position involves a deep understanding of strategic sourcing, the various spend categories and supplier management, and the ability to interact with key internal stakeholders and our external suppliers.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies for direct material regional spend.
  • Gather, analyze, and document business unit and functional requirements and interests.
  • Act as the liaison between the MP businesses and our global supply base across multiple time zones
  • Conduct professional RFQ events, deploy advanced sourcing techniques to improve material cost
  • Utilize a systematic sourcing process to reduce the total cost of ownership and increase overall value
  • Drive continuous process improvements efforts
  • Maintain conduct consistent with company policy, operating procedures, accepted practices and applicable laws

Key Skills

  • Strong procurement and supplier chain track record in a global manufacturing organization (preferably heavy construction equipment industry)
  • Degree educated in a Supply Chain, Procurement or Engineering discipline, MBA or equivalent experience.
  • Relevant Global Sourcing experience in global organization
  • Excellent stakeholder management involving strong collaboration with sites and category teams.
  • Solid commercial understanding of should cost models, ability to analyze supplier financial information.
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • High level or organization and detail oriented & ability to work independently
  • Ability to travel internationally - up to 30%

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Highest level of integrity, honesty and trust
  • Drive for results and willingness to establish/sign up for aggressive business objectives
  • Strong should cost analysis and negotiation skills
  • Experience of managing large multi-million spend across multiple business units
  • Ability to work within a global team
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written skills in English.
  • Second international language (Spanish, Mexican) will be added advantage.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Power point
