Job description

LV Petroleum is opening a brand-new truck service shop in Eagleville, MO - and we're looking for an experienced Truck Shop Manager to help build and lead the operation from the ground up!

Our new shop is scheduled to open at the end of October, and we're hiring now. The selected Truck Shop Manager will have the opportunity to train at one of our established locations before opening day, giving you the tools, experience, and preparation needed to lead the new shop successfully.

This is more than managing an existing operation - you'll have a direct opportunity to help build the team, establish the culture, and set the standard for a brand-new shop.

What You'll Do

As Truck Shop Manager, you'll take ownership of the shop's day-to-day operations, team performance, customer experience, and financial results.

  • Lead daily shop operations: Oversee heavy-duty truck and trailer repair operations while ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
  • Lead and develop the team: Recruit, train, coach, and develop technicians and service staff to build a strong, high-performing team.
  • Drive revenue and profitability: Monitor sales, labor costs, productivity, and key performance indicators while identifying opportunities to grow revenue and improve profitability.
  • Manage workflow and productivity: Ensure technicians have the resources, parts, and information needed to complete repairs efficiently and minimize customer and equipment downtime.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service: Serve as a leader and primary escalation point for customers, ensuring concerns are addressed professionally and every driver leaves better than they arrived.
  • Maintain safety and compliance: Champion a strong safety culture and ensure the shop follows all company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
  • Manage inventory and equipment: Monitor parts, supplies, tools, and equipment to ensure the shop is properly equipped to operate efficiently.
  • Monitor shop performance: Review operational and financial results and take action to improve productivity, service quality, customer satisfaction, and profitability.
  • Build the culture: Establish a team environment built around accountability, teamwork, safety, quality, and exceptional service.
What We're Looking For
  • Previous experience managing a truck service, diesel, heavy-duty repair, or similar operation.
  • Strong knowledge of heavy-duty truck and trailer repair.
  • Proven leadership experience managing technicians and service personnel.
  • Strong understanding of shop operations, labor management, productivity, and profitability.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze KPIs and financial performance and turn results into action.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Proven experience leading truck service, diesel repair, or related service center operations
  • Strong technical knowledge of heavy-duty truck and trailer systems
  • 3+ years in a supervisory/management role; preferably in truck stop, service bay, or logistics environments
  • A hands-on leadership style with the ability to train and inspire a diverse team
  • Comfort using systems for scheduling, work order management, and parts inventory
  • A high school diploma or GED (Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred)
  • A valid driver's license and willingness to work flexible hours (nights, weekends, holidays)

Benefits

  • Health Care Plan (Medical, Dental & Vision)
  • Retirement Plan (401k, IRA)
  • Paid Time Off (Vacation, Sick & Public Holidays)
