We are seeking a Department Manager to join our Gorsuch family of luxury retail and ski shop professionals. This is an ideal opportunity for an enthusiastic individual with an interest in luxury men's fashion and quality and the sport of skiing to be part of our team.

The Department Manager is more than a job. You will be part of a leadership team that is instrumental in providing the best customer service to our guests, helping our guests choose the right equipment and fit them accordingly to make certain they enjoy their day of skiing or snowboarding.

About the Role:

The Menswear and Ski Shop Department Manager will oversee our luxury Menswear, ski accessory, ski retail, rental & repair and boot fitting operations. The department manager will ensure the shop operates efficiently, profitably, and in alignment with the companyโ€™s brand and values.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in retail management, preferably in a luxury menswear and sporting goods or ski-related environment.
  • Strong knowledge of ski apparel and ski equipment, ski accessories, and related products.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Proficiency in inventory management and point-of-sale (POS) systems.
  • Exceptional customer service and communication abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5 plus years of experience working in luxury retail in a ski resort or mountain retail setting.
  • Familiarity with local market trends and customer preferences in the ski industry.
  • Certification or training in ski equipment maintenance or fitting.
  • Basic knowledge of marketing and promotional campaign development.
  • First aid certification or safety training relevant to mountain sports.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily operations of the store ski shop. including opening and closing procedures.
  • Supervise, train, and motivate staff to deliver excellent customer service and product expertise.
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels, order new stock, and manage supplier relationships.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies and promotional activities to increase revenue.
  • Ensure the retail store and ski shop is clean, organized, and visually appealing to customers.
  • Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints, and provide expert advice on ski equipment and accessories.
  • Prepare and analyze sales reports, budgets, and forecasts to inform business decisions.

The Men's and Ski shop Department Manager will utilize leadership skills daily to guide and inspire the team, ensuring high performance and customer satisfaction. Strong organizational skills are essential for managing inventory, scheduling, and shop maintenance efficiently. Compensation and Benefits:

The anticipated base salary range for this position is between $72,000 to $88,000 annually. The rate of pay is the range we reasonably expect to pay for this position and may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
