About the Role:
OC Snowsports is a brand new ski and snowsports shop in Costa Mesa, CA — and we're building our team from the ground up! Whether you're a seasoned ski tech, a passionate instructor, or just love all things snow, we want to hear from you. Join us at the ground floor of something exciting and help shape the culture of Orange County's newest ski and snowsports destination.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist customers in selecting ski, snowsports equipment, apparel, and accessories
  • Perform ski tuning, waxing, edge sharpening, and boot fitting services
  • Maintain organized and visually appealing retail floor displays and inventory
  • Process sales transactions and provide exceptional customer service
  • Share product knowledge and personal snowsports experience to drive customer confidence
  • Support rental equipment setup, maintenance, and fitting for customers
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily shop operations
Requirements:
  • Passion for skiing or snowsports strongly preferred
  • Previous retail, ski shop, or customer service experience a plus
  • Knowledge of ski equipment, brands, and gear fitting techniques beneficial
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays, and peak seasonal hours
  • Strong communication skills and a friendly, team-oriented attitude
  • Experience with ski tuning, boot fitting, or rental operations is a plus
  • All experience levels welcome — entry-level to seasoned shop veterans encouraged to apply
  • Previous POS  experience a plus

NEW SKI & SNOWSPORTS SHOP - ALL POSTIONS NEEDED
MANAGER
Qualifications:
Snowsports Industry Experience Required
POS systems experience required
DUTIES:
Scheduling and monitoring the service shop work to meet customer demand
•Identify and inform management of ways to improve sales and service,
•Working with management to build, train, and certify a team of Sales and Repair Technicians to carry out sales, shop services, rental department functions
•Manage all staff needs including hiring, scheduling and evaluating staff performance
•Preserving complete and accurate store records and maintaining record keeping systems
•Ordering store inventory materials, tools, supplies, and parts
•Maintaining equipment and ensuring a clean, secure and safe work environment
•Ability to periodically lift up to 40 pounds
Must be available to work weekends
BOOT FITTER
Qualifications
Previous boot fitting experience and retail sales experience required
Boot fitting certification preferred
Must demonstrate a high level of snow sports industry product knowledge and have a passion for the industry
Computer proficiency required
Must be willing to work evenings and weekends
Essential Functions:
-Provide exceptional boot fitting services, including custom footbed fabrication methods, boot shell modifications, liner modifications and stance alignment knowledge
-Develop successful sales techniques and provide exceptional customer service
-Work with supervisor to maintain store presentation standards
-Conscientious inventory control
-Merchandise new product, restock current merchandise
RETAIL SALES - EQUIPMENT / CLOTHING
Qualifications:
•Excellent verbal skills
•Ability to write and fill in forms with accuracy
•Ski and/or snowboard background is a benefit
•Must be self-motivated and have the ability to handle multiple tasks
•Experienced with Point of Sale retail machines is preferred
•Must be able be on feet for extended periods of time
•Ability to regularly lift 40 pounds

•Ability to communicate and receive direction in a fast-paced environment.

RENTAL & REPAIR TECH - PART TIME / SEASONAL
Position requiring a basic understanding of skiing and snowboarding equipment. This position requires a detailed oriented individual that excels in excellent guest service, willingness to learn technical aspects of skiing and snowboarding equipment and an appreciation for the winter sports. Individuals must be 18 or older to qualify for alpine binding certification.
Duties:
Adjust Alpine and Snowboard bindings to manufacture's requirements/ specifications
Instruct Guests on the proper use of all Rental Equipment
Efficiently process Guests through the Rental Dept properly fitting rental Ski or Snowboard boots and identify proper equipment sizing to maximize the Guest's experience
Previous snowsports shop experience or equivalent including sales, service and repair of snowsports equipment.
Maintain and organize equipment inventory
Keep facilities clean and safe
Operate small tools and powered equipment including screw drivers, drills, belt waxier and vacuum cleaner
Adhere to posted weekly work schedule and be prepared to begin work at scheduled time
Maintain a clean and professional appearance
Must be available to work weekends
