Job description

Overview

Big Sky Resort is looking for a guest-oriented and enthusiastic Rental Technician to join our team. As a Rental Tech, you’ll be the first step in delivering transformational mountain experiences. You’ll help guests find the right ski or snowboard setup, ensure proper fitting, and get them ready to enjoy their day on the slopes. No prior experience with ski or snowboard gear? No problem—we’ll teach you everything you need to know.


Responsibilities
  • Provide personalized boot fitting, binding setting, and equipment support for all guest ability levels
  • Kneel, stand, and move repeatedly while assisting with gear fitting
  • Create a welcoming, upbeat atmosphere in the rental shop for guests and coworkers
  • Answer guest questions by phone, email, or in person regarding rentals, online purchases, and resort information
  • Accurately process payments for rental equipment

Qualifications
  • Entry-level position with limited prior experience required—we’ll train you!
  • Ability to lift, push or pull up to 35 lbs
  • Must be able to work on your feet for at least 8 hours a day
  • Good interpersonal communication skills
  • Ski/snowboard or cashier experience preferred
