Trojan Recycling is looking for a safety conscience Yard Laborer to join our GROWING team in Brockton, MA. This position requires working at heights and necessitates strict adherence to safety protocols in all weather conditions. 

Hours: Monday through Friday 6:45am to 4:30pm

Pay Rate: $22.00 per hour

Our priority is to make sure we hire safe labors that care about the safety of our customers and team members.  As a yard laborer with us the minimum responsibilities are:

  • Checking trucks in and and directing traffic at site as necessary.
  • Manual labor including paper picking, keeping the transfer station clean and presentable.
  • Perform yard work including cutting weeds.
  • Climbing and tarping train cars. 
  • Perform general maintenance and repairs including painting and janitorial work.
  • Operating light equipment such as: skid steers.
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
  • Promoting continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
  • Interacting with customers and Waste Connections employees to determine safe and environmentally sound solutions to service issues.

What we need from you:

  • One year of stable employment history in a similar environment.
  • Ability to lift at least 75lbs and climb.
  • Ability to work schedule in all weather conditions
  • Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.
