Position Summary

The Turndown Attendant is responsible for preparing guest rooms for evening service while ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, comfort, and presentation. This role plays an important part in delivering the personalized touches that define a Forbes Five-Star guest experience.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and passionate about creating a welcoming environment that exceeds guest expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform evening turndown service in guest rooms according to Forbes Five-Star standards.
  • Refresh and reset guest bedrooms and bathrooms to ensure a clean, comfortable, and inviting environment.
  • Conduct self-inspections to ensure all guest rooms meet established quality standards.
  • Organize and stock housekeeping carts, supply rooms, and linen closets.
  • Complete daily assignments and required documentation accurately and efficiently.
  • Report maintenance concerns, damages, and room discrepancies to Housekeeping leadership.
  • Respond promptly to guest requests and special service needs.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned work areas.
  • Assist with special cleaning projects and support other housekeeping team members as needed.
  • Follow all safety, sanitation, and housekeeping procedures.
Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous housekeeping, room attendant, turndown attendant, hotel, hospitality, or cleaning experience preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and guest service skills.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
  • Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
