Gold Cup Wine Bar is a sophisticated dining venue known for its relaxed elegance, Virginia wines, handcrafted cocktails, and seasonal cuisine. We are seeking a friendly, polished, and service-focused Host/Hostess who enjoys engaging with guests and creating memorable dining experiences.

Position Summary

The Restaurant Host/Hostess is responsible for welcoming guests, managing reservations, coordinating seating, and ensuring a smooth flow of the dining room. This role is essential in setting the tone for the guest experience through professionalism, organization, and genuine hospitality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Warmly greet guests and escort them to their tables
  • Manage reservations and dining room seating flow
  • Coordinate table assignments with restaurant leadership
  • Assist in maintaining an organized and professional host stand
  • Present menus and communicate daily specials when needed
  • Monitor dining room activity to support service efficiency
  • Assist with guest requests and resolve minor service concerns
  • Support team operations including light side work when needed
  • Thank guests upon departure and invite them to return
  • Maintain Forbes Five-Star service standards at all times
Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
