POSITION PURPOSE
The Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic "THMA" & Holy Cross Health Maryland Medical Group President will have oversight for all matters related to overall medical group performance, inclusive of operational, clinical, and financial metrics, and will enhance a culture that promotes the highest quality of care across all sites in PA, DE, and MD. This medical group executive leader will build a cohesive, high-performing medical group that is focused on service excellence, patient-centered care and continuous improvement. Through the development of successful performance improvement standards and practices, the President will succeed in creating a highly attractive practice environment for physicians, advanced practice providers, and staff. In addition, the President will be a critical thought leader with responsibility for strategy development for ambulatory care, including the development of distributed, non-hospital-based sites of care, including ambulatory surgical centers, imaging and lab services, and outpatient infusion centers. The President will be committed to a culture that is supportive of physicians and fosters their professional development. The President may oversee the Clinically Integrated Network (CIN) and will also have accountability for medical group performance around population health measures and financial results of alternative payment model results.
The President has a matrix reporting relationship to both the Health Ministry President/CEO and the Trinity Health System Senior Vice President of Medical Groups and Ambulatory Strategy. The President will provide strategic and visionary input to transform the care delivery model, creating a standardized, evidence-based approach to patient care and a more consistent patient experience through the enhancement of clinical integration and care coordination across all clinic sites. The President will be accountable for designing member-centric, relationship driven patient care processes that deliver on the brand promise - We listen. We partner. We make it easy.
Trinity Health: Mid-Atlantic and Holy Cross Health Maryland
To leverage skill and scale and expand services across a broader geography, in May 2024, Trinity Health combined the responsibility for its Mid-Atlantic Region (Pennsylvania and Delaware) and its Holy Cross Health in Maryland Region under one Regional Health Ministry (RHM) leadership team. Combined, these two regions have six hospitals, as well as, associated clinics, medical offices, specialized facilities, affiliated institutions, and foundations, representing approximately 10,400 colleagues across three states, with approximately $1.7B in total revenue. These facilities and colleagues serve together in the spirit of the Gospel as a compassionate and transforming healing presence within their communities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Knows, understands, incorporates & demonstrates the Trinity Health Mission, Values & Vision in behaviors, practices & decisions.
Responsible for managing all aspects of the Medical Group, including resources necessary to meet clinical, quality, financial, strategic, and operational targets; monitors and evaluates progress in meetings these targets and in achieving overall efficiency and effectiveness of care delivery; implements modifications in resource allocation as necessary.
Broad accountability for achieving medical group targeted metrics inclusive of metrics for patient satisfaction; access; physician, provider, and colleague engagement; quality/safety; primary care membership growth; and financial stewardship.
Continually assesses the Health Ministry's governance and operating structure and recommends approaches deemed necessary to effectively organize activities.
Represents the Health Ministry with key affiliates in numerous forums including committees, boards, and community activities.
Assures that all new initiatives are thoroughly evaluated, analyzed, properly organized and consistent with the Health Ministry's growth plan.
Oversees financial management activities, growth initiatives, and the linkage of financial plans with business strategies.
Represents THMA in external contract negotiations as applicable.
Ensures that all decisions are consistent with the company's standards of excellence in patient care and service and are efficient and fiscally responsible.
Works with THMA's Governing Board to ensure adequate, on-going and open communication with clinicians, managers, and stakeholders regarding the ministry's status.
Builds and maintains relationships with key health system leaders crucial to the organization's success, including Health Ministry Leadership, Trinity Leaders, Hospital Leaders, and peer Medical Group presidents.
Supports and enhances Population Health initiatives including risk stratification, understanding social determinants of health, wellness and preventive care, access to behavioral health, chronic care management, palliative care and team-based care.
Monitors the Health Ministry's continuous performance improvement on clinical, financial, service, access, and managed care standards. Advocates for appropriate interventions to improve performance to achieve benchmark performance.
Makes specific recommendations regarding policy changes, if any, to reduce risk.
Enhances physician knowledge of available clinical services and actively work to coordinate and enhance referrals within the organization to optimize patient care and service.
Partners with other leaders in the development and implementation of business strategies that promote acquisition, affiliation and/or integration opportunities with other physicians/physician groups.
Responsible for negotiation and approval of the Health Ministry's physician employment contracts and compensation models, in accordance with Trinity Health Medical Groups (THMG) policy.
Provides the leadership necessary to ensure the Health Ministry consistently meets all regulatory requirements.
Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must possess a thorough knowledge of healthcare management principles and techniques.
Doctor of Medicine (MD, DO) degree preferred
Master's in Health Administration, Master's in Business Administration or an advanced degree in a related field preferred
Must have a minimum of seven or more (7 +) years of leadership experience, including progressive leadership responsibilities in the healthcare industry, inclusive of experience in multispecialty medical groups, integrated healthcare delivery systems, and hospitals.
Experience establishing, pursuing and monitoring appropriate process and outcome measures for key population health initiatives; evaluating the processes by which clinical care and patient services are delivered; identifying areas of opportunity, setting standards for outcomes, developing appropriate systems to monitor outcomes and achieve desired results.
Knowledge of the content, intent, and application of regulations, policies, standards, operations, and requirements applicable to the Health Ministry and state environment.
Successful track record of providing effective administrative and physician leadership, developing physician engagement and driving clinical quality outcomes.
Proven track record of rolling out digital telehealth and helping to ensure it is a core competency of the medical group to help expand access.
Familiarity with information systems and regulatory compliance issues.
Experience in designing physician/provider compensation programs and demonstrated knowledge of appropriate physician/provider incentive compensation programs.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
Must be able to adapt to frequently changing work priorities.
Must be able to travel as needed to the various Trinity Health sites.
