The Niagara Framework is Tridium's core technology that supports an ecosystem of innovators who deliver powerful IoT solutions across a wide range of industries including energy services, building automation, and industrial automation. That ecosystem has successfully deployed over 1,300,000 instances of Niagara worldwide.
Tridium's software development team is looking for an energetic and innovative Java Software Engineer. You will report directly to our Engineering Manager and you'll work out of our Richmond, VA location on a Hybrid work schedule. We want highly motivated software engineers to design, develop and test new and innovative software and services for our Niagara Framework. We are adding top notch engineers with a passion for software development and disrupting the industry.
Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Be a part of Tridium's world class team of software engineers as we advance Tridium's position as a market leader in open systems and software
  • Participate in the design and implementation of Tridium's next generation Niagara software technology
  • Execute full lifecycle software development
  • Write well designed, testable, high quality, efficient code
  • Operate in an Agile development environment while collaborating with key stakeholders
  • Collaborate with a globally distributed engineering team

Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a software related discipline
  • 3 years of experience as a professional software engineer
  • 2 Years of Java development experience

  • Experience with Agile software development methodologies
  • Experience with Test Driven Design
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills including the ability to identify, formulate, and solve engineering problems
