The Minnesota Star Tribune is seeking customer-focused individuals to support its State Fair Booth Team during the Minnesota State Fair, assisting with merchandise sales, customer engagement, and booth operations from August 27-September 7, with a required training and orientation session on August 20. Shift times for this position are between 8:45 a.m. and 9:15 p.m. Day and evening shifts available.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
  • Provide outstanding customer service while creating a positive experience for Minnesota Star Tribune readers and State Fair guests.
  • Assist customers with merchandise purchases and promote products in a busy, high-volume environment.
  • Serve as a professional ambassador for the Minnesota Star Tribune through friendly and engaging interactions.
  • Collaborate with team members while also working independently to support daily booth operations.
  • Communicate effectively and adapt to changing customer needs in a fast-paced setting.
  • Stand and work in a booth for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds as needed.
  • Be available to work at least 10 of the 12 Minnesota State Fair days, including weekends and flexible shifts between 8:45 a.m. and 9:15 p.m.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older and legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship.

Compensation
The hourly compensation for this position is $16.50/hour, This is a temporary seasonal position during the Minnesota State Fair.
