Job description

About Tria
Tria is Philly's original casual wine bar, helping shape the city's wine scene since 2004 while keeping it fun. Our seasonally curated wine, cheese, cocktail, and beer menus highlight passionate, small producers. Above all, Tria is a community where guests come to relax and connect-no TVs, just conversation made livelier, deeper, and cheerier by our offerings.
With the opening of Tria Events, we now offer a dedicated space for wine classes, guided tastings, private events, and community gatherings-extending the Tria experience beyond the bar. We're looking forward to a busy spring season.
Position Details
At Tria, comprehensive training and a deeply supportive team set you up to deliver uncommonly excellent hospitality on the floor as a server.
Whether you're just beginning your wine journey or studying to become a sommelier, working at Tria is like going to wine school-while getting paid.
Many of our servers cross-train behind the bar and pick up bartending shifts as they grow with us. With wine classes and private events at Tria Events, there's real opportunity for variety, hands-on learning, and exploration.
To provide financial stability in a tipped role, we guarantee a minimum of $20/hour per pay period (yes, even in January). In practice, our servers typically earn significantly more.
Why Tria?
Tria strives to be a terrific workplace. Our Tria Promise includes:
  • Guaranteed minimum wages for all tipped employees
  • Affordable modern healthcare and access to the region's best plans
  • Paid time off and retirement plan with employer contributions
  • Industry-leading ongoing training
  • Employee-run Resource Group promoting a safe, welcoming, and rewarding environment

Things to know before applying:
  • Four Shift Minimum: Four scheduled shifts per week required because an invested staff gives better service
  • Exclusivity: No other hospitality jobs while on the Tria team
  • Long-Term Relationship: Please apply only if you plan to stay at least one year
  • Ongoing Training: Paid, mandatory training every other Thursday at 10 am. It's like getting paid to go to wine school. (And learn about cheese, cocktails, beer, and more.)
  • Pooled Wages: Staff earnings pooled and distributed fairly to encourage teamwork.

If this sounds like a good fit for you, please send a cover letter explaining why you and Tria would be a great match.
We look forward to hearing from you!
