Role Overview:

A senior voice in the Americas leadership, the Regional Sales Director, Department of Defense & Intelligence Community role reports directly to the Vice President of Sales for Department of Defense and Intelligence Community. This position owns the sales strategy for the IC region with some DoD accounts and manages the sales team to meet revenue growth goals. Candidates must be located in the Reston, VA area.

The Director of Sales is a pivotal leadership position that plays a key role managing a team that focuses on finding the right solutions to protect strategic enterprise customers. Your work will have real world impact and make a tangible difference in keeping the military safe from cyber threats.

About the Role:

  • 10+ years of professional experience
  • 5+ years of enterprise software sales experience. Security SW is highly preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in a people management capacity
  • A highly consultative sales background with excellent communication skills
  • Experience and credibility selling to the C level of the DoD & IC
  • Proven track record of closing seven figure transactions
  • Ability to build strong and continuous partner relationships
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, & presentation skills
  • Strong work ethic and able to travel for customer meetings
  • Is a US citizen
  • Possesses a US security clearance

About You:

  • You live in the Reston, VA area.
  • Oversee the hiring, development, and management of a sales team.
  • Responsible for weekly sales forecasting of sales team performance.
  • Drives and innovates the development of sales strategies with the team.
  • Works closely with the team to develop and execute pipeline generation.
  • Develops, establishes, and directs channel and distribution strategies for customer success.
  • Manages overall sales process, sets appropriate metrics for sales pipeline management.
  • Develops pricing policies, including volume discounts, terms, and conditions, for high-profile customers and channel partners.
  • Works collaboratively across BU's to create a result driven, team-oriented environment.
  • Develops and negotiates software and/or services sales contracts while integrating contract requirements with business outcome objectives.
  • Develops relationships with key influencers and stakeholders both internally and externally.

This position is paid (in part) on a commission basis. The Base Pay Range is $175,000 - $275,000. The On Target Earnings (OTE) Range (base pay plus on target commission) is $400,000 - $500,000. Actual base pay within the Base Pay Range and actual OTE within the OTE Range will depend on varying circumstances, including the work location, individual qualifications, company budget and other operational business needs. Compensation may also include long-term incentives, subject to various metrics and company policy.
