Treasury Consultant Function Description: Optum Bank is seeking a Treasury Consultant to assist with the design, development and maintenance of treasury, cash management and payment services offered by the Bank.

This position follows a hybrid schedule withthree in-office days per week.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Participate in treasury system implementation projects (requirements documentation, systems configuration, test documentation/execution, issue identification and resolution
  • Gather, define, and prioritize business requirements and ensure those requirements are clearly translated into technical specifications
  • Become a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on the underlying system processes and data structures that support Treasury functions
  • Provide servicing and technical assistance to internal partners/vendors to ensure a timely and smooth implementation process
  • Document treasury system workflows, policies and procedures
  • Become fully cross trained in Bank Treasury operational functions and support the daily treasury, cash management and payment operations functions as needed Competencies
  • Knowledge of innovative banking/treasury product solutions, best practices and industry trends
  • Responsible for defining, building, and delivering Treasury products that meet customer needs and business objectives.
  • Solid organizational skills - able to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively
  • Ability to navigate a dynamic, fast-paced environment with changing priorities
  • Adept at learning new concepts and applying principles and best practices into problem-solving and development of innovative solutions
  • Assist with vendor oversight of treasury system vendors

Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate Degree or equivalent work experience
  • 3 years of experience working at a financial institution or an equivalent combination of corporate bank treasury system and/or cash management experience and training
  • Excellent communication, analytical, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Visio)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Accredited ACH Professional (AAP) or Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) Designations
  • Experience working with Banking and Payments: ACH (NACHA), wires, checks, RTP/FedNow (preferred)
  • Experience working with Bank Reporting and File Standard: BAI2, Familiarity with bank balance and transaction reporting
  • Experience with optimizing SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze treasury data

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
