TRC serves a broad range of clients in government and industry, implementing complex projects from initial concept to delivery and operation.
SECTOR OVERVIEW
Our Environmental Sector delivers comprehensive environmental solutions to meet the full project lifecycle needs of clients in renewable energy, oil - gas, transportation, and manufacturing industries. With one of the largest multimedia air and land permitting and compliance teams in the country, we support client success in manufacturing and industry, liquids delivery and processing, natural gas storage and delivery, power generation and delivery, and transportation projects.
POSITION SUMMARY
TRC is seeking a Full Time Staff Archaeological Technician located within commuting distance of our Asheville, North Carolina office. We are looking for individuals with a strong commitment to technical excellence and a strong work ethic. The position will require travel and some projects may require overtime and/or extended work days and work weeks. Candidates will be required to walk long distances and perform physically demanding tasks in varying environments and conditions (steep terrain, heat, cold).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - TASKS
  • Ensure the quality of archaeological data, fieldwork, and paperwork.
  • Perform archaeological surveys, testing, data recovery, and monitoring.
  • Perform all types of archaeological lab and office tasks, including but not limited to artifact processing, preliminary artifact analysis, artifact curation preparation, field paperwork scanning, equipment maintenance, data entry, and report production assistance.
  • Complete tasks in a timely fashion; coordinate with field supervisors regarding project requirements and expectations.
  • Abide by Company policies and procedures.
  • Employment with TRC is subject to the successful completion of a background check and drug screen.

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
  • A completed BA degree in anthropology or archaeology.
  • Ability to think critically and creatively.
  • A commitment to quality and safety.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work well on a team and individually.
  • A valid driver-s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle records check.
  • A strong work ethic.
  • Three professional references with contact information (include with resume).

Compensation: Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.
Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company's annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
