The School of Allied Health offers one Bachelor of Science degree, ten Associate of Science degrees, and nine certificate programs designed to prepare students for workforce entry and successful credentialing. Our programs maintain strong partnerships with community health agencies, hospitals, and other clinical affiliates to provide students with high quality clinical experiences. Florida SouthWestern State College also features a state of the art Simulation Education Center that enhances clinical training through immersive, hands on learning. Faculty, staff, and students within the School of Allied Health are actively engaged in community and professional activities at the local, state, national, and international levels.

The ideal candidate will have:
- Master's Degree from an academic institution accredited by a federally recognized institutional accrediting agency. (a minimum of 18 graduate semester credit hours in the teaching discipline or related area).
- Valid RRT credential.
- Current state license.
- Minimum 4 years experience as RRT with at least 2 years in clinical respiratory care.
- Minimum 2 years experience teaching as either an appointed faculty member in a CoARC-accredited respiratory care program or as a clinical instructor/preceptor for students of such programs.

Salary Range: $53,015.53 – $62,836.78 (for two terms within the academic year): the maximum salary is based on a doctorate education level and 10 years of verifiable full-time teaching experience. Salary will be determined at the hire date.
This position's anticipated start date is August 2026.
