Job Description

Plans, manages, and integrates all elements of DoD-related logistics, including supply services, maintenance of automotive, communications, instrumentation, and computer equipment, transportation, and maintenance of temporary and permanent facilities. The Logistics Manager also supervises purchasing activities to meet organizational goals and objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities* Manages the daily activities of the logistics team to include maintenance, supply, motor pool, instrumentation repair, calibration facility, communications towers, storage bunkers, transportation, property accountability, and purchasing activities
* Plans, directs, controls, monitors, and reports on all logistical functions
* Leads the continuous improvement process activities within the Logistics Department
* Ensures all logistics tasks are accomplished on time and within budget
* Ensures contract requirements are completed in accordance with Government and contract policies
* Coordinates logistical support with the Program Manager, Test Mangers, the Contracting Officer, and the Contracts Officer Representative
* Directs the activities of supervisors and logistics experts
* Ensures the team meets daily mission goals and requirements
* Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Minimum of a bachelor's degree
* Ten (10) years of experience in logistics operations management
* Must be knowledgeable of and able to work a variety of automated systems, processes and procedures, and database formats to include Global Combat Support Systems - Army (GCSS-Army)
* Must hold a Top-Secret security clearance
* Must be able to work independently
* Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
* Must have excellent leadership skills
* Must demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
* Knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation (DFAR), the Uniform Commercial Code; and contracts administration is desired
* Formal military or civilian Government supply or logistics training is highly desirable
Physical Demands and Working Conditions
* The work of this position is performed in an environmentally controlled office environment
* Must be capable of sitting and entering data on a computer keyboard for extended periods of time
* Must be able to view computer monitor for extended periods of time
* Must be able to lift 25 pounds unassisted

* Must be a U.S. Citizen
* Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
* Must possess a valid driver's license, without special restrictions
* Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and periodic retests
* Must be able to successfully complete a background check
* Must possess or be able to obtain a Top-Secret security clearance prior to employment and maintain security clearance for the duration of employment
