Restaurant Manager Position Description
POSITION TITLE: Restaurant Manager EXEMPTION: Salaried Exempt
REPORTS TO: District Manager DEPARTMENT: Operations
POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for managing the overall operations of a Jack in the Box unit that is a 24 hour a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year operation. Uses Discretion in daily management decisions with accountability for ensuring effective execution of the Brand Standards. Develops team to provide excellent internal service, external service, and build restaurant sales and profit while ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Minimum 2 years' experience in a Restaurant Manager.
• Must possess a valid driver license, insurance and use personal vehicle to travel to other restaurants/business locations as required.
• Leads by example to gain commitment from staff by reinforcing team behaviors consistent with Jack in the Box and I Chief, LLC.
• Provides leadership and mentoring to the team; accountable for the in-restaurant staff experience.
• Models high performing team behaviors and fosters relationships through open and honest communication, coaching and engagement.
• Enforces expectations and encourages discussion to garner feedback.
• Exercises high level, independent judgement and discretion in managing the daily operations to meet company goals and guest expectations.
• Trains and coaches management team, empowering them to lead their shift and focus on developing staff to improve restaurant performance.
• Recognizes the contribution of restaurant staff at all levels.
• Ability to identify Team Leaders and team Member with potential to develop to the next level.
• Evaluate Progress and provides feedback.
• Leads recruiting, interviewing and hiring to achieve staff goals.
• Instills a guest first mindset and demonstrates how to reinforce the brand by engaging with our guests, addressing concerns and creating a welcoming environment.
• Drives team to meet cost control goals that include managing food cost, labor and cash.
• Understand the importance of metrics in leveraging team to meet company goals.
• Leverages team to meet all safe food handling and sanitation practices mandated by local, state and federal jurisdiction.

Schedule:
