Job description

Traveling Merchandiser (Part-Time)

About Footprint Solutions

For more than 20 years, Footprint Solutions has partnered with some of the nation's leading retailers to provide merchandising, installation, and in-store support services. We help retailers keep their stores organized, stocked, and customer-ready.

What You'll Do

As a Merchandiser, you will independently service retail locations within your assigned area to ensure products and displays meet client standards.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Stocking shelves and organizing merchandise
  • Updating planograms and product displays
  • Completing audits, surveys, and reporting
  • Assisting with store refreshes and resets
  • Applying security tags and labels
  • Taking photos and submitting reports through a mobile app
  • Building professional relationships with store associates and management
  • Communicating directly with your District Manager while working independently in stores

Where will you work?

  • This position is a hybrid position working both locally and traveling up to 50% of the time and approximately 250 hundred miles from your home.

Travel

  • Occasional overnight travel may be required
    • All overnight travel is scheduled in advance and arranged by Footprint Solutions
    • Must have access to reliable transportation in order to service customer locations
  • Consent to pre-employment, post offer Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check. Satisfactorily demonstrate safe driving record and current and valid drivers license

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Reliable transportation and ability to travel within the assigned territory
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills including text and/or email
  • Ability to work in an independent and efficient manner while providing accurate and timely reporting via a mobile device
  • Professional, dependable, and detail-oriented
  • Previous merchandising or retail experience is plus
  • Able to effectively communicate with store personnel
  • Ability to understand, interpret, and carry out written instructions.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to move throughout assigned work areas to complete merchandising tasks
  • Ability to consistently access product on shelving from ground to 5 feet high; occasionally up to 6 feet high
  • Ability to accurately inspect merchandise, displays, and product placement.
  • Ability to consistently lift up to 10 pounds; occasionally lift up to 40 pounds
