Gnostech is seeking a Travel Management Specialist to provide travel support and assistance to staff through the Defense Travel System and help desk services. This is a full-time position. Responsibilities and Qualifications will include but are not limited to:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide daily Defense Travel System (DTS) support for all travel requirements.
  • Perform travel management support through a Help Desk.
  • Track and support the entire lifecycle of a trip in DTS.
  • Prepare and review travel authorizations, vouchers, and local vouchers.
  • Review and recommend vouchers for payment. Monitor payment of authorizations and vouchers. Ensure all payment/funding discrepancies are resolved.
  • Perform weekly audits of travel obligations, expenditures, and un-submitted vouchers and provide weekly reports.
  • Review and audit DTS entries to ensure DTS is used properly by staff.
  • Provide support to staff on the use of Government Travel Charge Cards, including briefing personnel on the proper use.
  • Provide written updates on travel expenditures and travel frequency.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Working knowledge of Defense Travel System (DTS).
  • Understanding of Defense Joint Travel Regulations.
  • Familiarity with travel authorization, voucher processing, and travel documentation requirements.
  • Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple travel requests and prioritize tasks.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • BA/BS degree and 5 years of experience providing travel management support.
  • AA/AS degree accepted in lieu of BA/BS with accompanying 5 years of experience performing the duties described in the duties and responsibilities of this position.
  • GED/Diploma accepted in lieu of BA/BS with accompanying 10 years of experience performing the duties and responsibilities of this position.

Desired Experience

  • Advanced knowledge of and experience with DTS and Defense Joint Travel Regulations, and Department of Defense Financial Management Regulations as they relate to travel.

Minimum Security Clearance

  • Current active Secret Clearance
