Position Summary

The Inventory Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing all aspects of our inventory management process. Your primary focus will be on maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring timely restocking of products, ensuring appropriate stock levels based on forecasts and demand planning, identifying opportunities to reduce excess inventory, and collaborating with various teams to meet customer demands.

A successful candidate is a self-starter, requires little to no supervision and can motivate and lead a team to effectively and efficiently carry out the needs of the company. The ideal Inventory Manager has extreme attention to detail, superb organizational skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, is proficient in inventory management software and Microsoft Office and exhibits the ability to implement effective inventory control procedures..

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  •        Daily identify quality and productivity improvements using lean principles and six sigma tools
  •        Implement and maintain daily efficient inventory management systems and procedures.
  •        Monitor inventory levels daily and adjust stock levels to meet demand.
  •        Conduct Cycle Counts to ensure accuracy of inventory records daily or weekly
  •        Conduct Inventory Audits to ensure accuracy of inventory records quarterly.
  •        Conduct and guide external audits from our investors, pulling the data for counts and working with them on physical counts as needed.
  •        Identify discrepancies daily and perform root-cause analysis to prevent future errors.
  •        Collaborate with the purchasing team to ensure timely and accurate ordering of products daily.
  •        Work closely with the purchasing team to maintain strong relationships and negotiate favorable terms with vendors weekly.
  •        Track and manage purchase orders, shipments (Local and International), and deliveries daily.
  •        Track, manage and receive RMA and Service Warranty Claim orders, ensuring these are processed correctly and timely.
  •        Conduct on-site visits to diagnose, Audit and troubleshoot technical issues related to vendor deliveries or processes quarterly
  •        Work with the Procurement team to develop and implement daily inventory planning strategies to prevent stockouts and overstock situations.
  •        Provide input into budgeting and financial planning processes related to inventory monthly.
  •        Liaise with sales, operations, and finance teams to understand inventory needs weekly.
  •        Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to address any inventory-related issues daily.
  •        Work closely with warehouse staff to optimize storage and handling processes daily.
  •        Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement effective solutions for complex technical problems as needed.
  •        Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the development of best practices daily.
  •        Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices and enhance overall safety and quality daily.
  •        Effectively manage and prioritize daily leadership responsibilities with clerical and administrative duties.
  •        Provide various reports and information according to business needs and schedules daily to weekly.
  •        Escalate issues as necessary to ensure timely resolution as needed.

Mandatory Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  •        Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field (Highly preferred)
  •        3+ years Proven experience as an Inventory Manager or similar role.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

The physical demands described here must be met by an employee to perform the essential functions of this position successfully. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these functions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to be able to spend 50% of the time in a stationary posture and 50% of the time in a vertical posture. Regular movement within the office is required to access file cabinets, office machinery, and other resources. This role involves continuous operation of a computer and other office productivity machinery, tools, including a printer, and computer. At times, the employee uses a ladder, forklift or a pallet jack to access inventory or shelving. Regularly, the employee changes their body position to assist in moving objects or gaining access to items. The capacity to convey information and concepts effectively for mutual understanding must be possessed by the employee. They must also possess the capability to share precise details during such interactions. Specific vision capabilities, particularly the ability to observe details at close range (within a few feet of the observer), are essential for performing tasks accurately. This role involves the regular transportation of boxes weighing between a minimum of 1 pound and a maximum of 75 pounds throughout the office to fulfill diverse demands. The employee consistently carries out their responsibilities while being exposed to various outdoor weather conditions.
