JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary/Objective

The Departmental Team Lead is responsible for assisting the EHS Manager in overseeing the operation of all EHS functions within any Waco Facility, involving departments such as Welding, Buffing, Core & Coil Assembly, Winding, Lacing, Tanking, Testing, Paint – Primer, Paint – Final, and Final Finish.

Naturally it is very important that we are efficient & productive with working the least amount of overtime as possible.

Essential Functions

• Daily On-Site Attendance.

• Ensure that team members follow defined EHS procedures and comply with quality & safety requirements.

• Ensure full adherence to 5S practices at all times.

• Consistently promote high standards through personal example so that each member of the Team understands the standards and behaviors expected of them.

• Work with EHS Manager to ensure all records are completed appropriately.

• Ensure that non-conformance issues are clearly identified and handled properly, and that the EHS Manager is made aware.

• Ensure EHS Manager is made aware of any quality or safety concerns so those concerns can be communicated to the entire Business.

• Assist EHS Manager in ensuring the Team is aware of day-to-day targets and responsibilities.

• Responsible for training of operators on products and processes within the Department.

• Work closely with EHS Manager on daily management and provide support for the Team to meet operational goals.

• Work closely with EHS Manager monitoring the completion of tasks and ensuring good performance within NetSuite.

• Facilitate communication with other Departments throughout the Business and ensure effective communication is maintained.

• Feedback to the Management team to share ideas and improve operation, recommending, supporting, and implementing continuous improvement activities and process and procedure improvements to optimize results and improve quality of delivery, in line with quality standards requirements and delivery in line with Company and Customer requirements.

• Provide technical expertise to the Team.

Environment/Physical Requirements

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday—shifts vary per department needs. However, depending on workload there may be occasional longer days and occasional weekends as needed. Employee is expected to work the hours necessary in order to timely and satisfactorily complete all necessary work tasks.
