JOB SUMMARY

The Monitor Tech under the supervision of the Nurse Manager or Charge Nurse must be able to work in afast paced, highsensorystimulating environment. The Monitor Tech mustdemonstratewillingness to assume responsibility for the efficient and effective delivery of clerical services in the telemetry nursing areas. Knowledge and compliance of hospital policies and proceduresarerequired. The primary function of the Monitor Tech is tomonitortelemetrystatus of each monitoredpatientsandcommunicateddysrhythmias to the nursing staff. A proctored telemetry EKG and rhythm exam with a pass rate isrequiredupon competition of orientation.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
