Job description

Polysomnographer - Travel Position  

Location: Medford, OR 

Job Type: Travel Contract   

Duration: 13 weeks  

Shift: 3x12s Nights 

Pay: $2089/week  

Job Description:  

We are seeking a skilled and patient-focused Polysomnographer to perform diagnostic sleep studies and support the evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders. The Polysomnographer will set up and monitor sleep recording equipment, observe patients during studies, and collect accurate data for physician review. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, compassionate, and experienced in sleep technology. 

 

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Prepare patients for overnight and daytime sleep studies, explaining procedures clearly. 

  • Set up, calibrate, and operate polysomnography equipment. 

  • Monitor patients during sleep studies, documenting observations and identifying abnormalities. 

  • Score sleep studies and generate detailed reports for physician interpretation. 

  • Ensure patient safety, comfort, and confidentiality throughout testing. 

  • Maintain equipment and adhere to infection control and safety protocols. 

Qualifications:  

  • Completion of an accredited Polysomnography or Sleep Technology program 

  • Certification by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (RPSGT) or equivalent credential 

  • BLS certification, COVID vaccine, TB test 

  • Minimum 1 year of sleep study or polysomnography experience
