Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU RN for a high-acuity, fast-paced CVICU at a pediatric facility, requiring a minimum of 2 years of Pediatric CVICU experience and a TX or compact RN license.

Details
  • Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) in a standalone pediatric hospital setting
  • High-acuity, fast-paced unit focused on congenital heart disease and defects, surgical CHD, heart failure, arrhythmias, transplant, and VAD/Berlin Heart patients
  • Patient population ranges from neonatal through young adult, with occasional adult CHD patients
  • Nurse-to-patient ratios: 1:1 or 1:2 for ICU-status patients; 1:3 for stepdown/non-ICU patients
  • Night shift: 18:45–07:15
  • 13-week assignment
Requirements
  • Active TX or compact RN license required
  • Minimum 2 years of Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU experience required
  • Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and PALS
  • NIH Certification required (Group A updated yearly; Groups B–F updated every 2 years)
  • Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address
  • Driver's License required for consideration
  • Two professional references required for consideration
