Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a night shift Emergency Department position at a freestanding ED in Round Rock, TX, requiring TNCC and CPI certifications.
Details
- Position is based in a freestanding emergency department (FSED) with 35 beds
- Patient ratios are 4:1 or 3:1
- Typical cases include trauma, stroke, STEMI, and moderate sedation
- EMR system is Meditech
- Shift is nights, 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM
- Rotating weekends required (4 weekend shifts per 4-week period)
- No on-call requirements
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active TX or Compact RN license required
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, TNCC, ENPC, CPI (or accepted equivalent: SAMA, MAB, or ACPMA), and NIH Stroke Scale
- Minimum 1 year of recent ED experience required; 2 years preferred
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
- US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
- One professional reference required (two required if licensed in Florida or Missouri)
Additional Information
- RNs wear navy scrubs
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
- Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start date
- AHA or ARC certifications are accepted
