Description

American Traveler is seeking a Med/Surg RN for a 13-week travel assignment requiring a UT or compact RN license and prior med/surg experience.

Details
  • 26-bed Medical unit with a 6:1 patient ratio
  • Techs are available on the unit for support
  • Uses hoyer lifts, rolling computers, and rolling vital sign machines
  • Charting is done in Meditech
  • Day shift schedule from 5:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • Scheduling requires 4 weekend shifts per month
  • May float to Surgical or Acute Rehab units
  • Cares for patients returning from cardiac catheterization procedures
Requirements
  • Active UT or compact RN license required
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
  • Some med/surg experience preferred
  • BSN preferred
  • Proficient in medication administration and controlled substance handling
  • Skilled in NG/NJ tube management, chest tube care, and heparin drip administration
  • No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

  • Provide direct patient care including monitoring vital signs and lab values within normal limits
