Job description


Travel Security and Risk Principal (IC3) supports Oracle's Global Physical Security Crisis Management program by executing core program activities aligned with ISO 31030 guidance and Oracle travel duty-of-care practices. The role provides travel risk assessments, actionable security recommendations, and practical mitigations for business travelers and corporate-sponsored events.
The TSRP role provides global travel risk assessments, security duty of care support, governance of traveler communication and accountability systems, ISO31030 comliance, and risk mitigation through training to support Oracle business travel. The role partners closely with the Global Security Operations Center (GSOC), travel support suppliers and travel tracking platforms, and serves as a key interface to GPS Intelligence Analysis to interpret intelligence reporting and translate it into clear traveler guidance and high-risk travel awareness products. The role develops and delivers travel security training (virtual and onsite), participates in crisis management exercises/tabletops, and periodically supports Oracle flagship events.
Responsibilities
Travel Risk Program Execution (ISO 31030-aligned)
  • Execute TSRP program processes across the travel lifecycle, risk assessment, high risk travel disclosure to benefits teams, mitigation through training, monitoring, response, supporting continuous improvement of travel security practices.
  • Provide security recommendations and reasonable mitigation guidance to reduce traveler exposure to threats to a practical level.
  • Support documentation and upkeep of playbooks, job aids, traveler guidance, and stakeholder process workflows.
  • Threat Monitoring, Intelligence Interpretation & Communications
  • Consume Intelligence Analysis outputs and produce concise summaries for high-risk travel justification packages, Global Travel communication, traveler briefings, and stakeholder updates.
  • Monitor for changes in global threats and help coordinate timely communications and guidance updates to travelers and stakeholders.

Traveler Security Incident Response & Reporting
  • Coordinate traveler security incident response in partnership with the Global Security Operations Centers, Crisis Management, Global Travel, HR, and travel assistance provider(s); support escalation, communications, documentation, and follow-up.
  • Contribute to incident reporting, trend analysis, and feedback loops to help identify patterns and recommend remediation.

GSOC / Travel Tracking Partnership
  • Work closely with the GSOC to support travel monitoring software and operational workflows and to improve end-to-end traveler support processes.
  • Help validate monitoring/alerting workflows and support process improvements related to travel tracking platforms and stakeholder handoffs.

Training & Enablement
  • Develop, refresh, and deliver travel security training modules and awareness content (virtual and onsite), in partnership with internal education/awareness stakeholders.
  • Participate in crisis management exercises/tabletops and support readiness activities and after-action learnings.

Stakeholder & Vendor Coordination
  • Coordinate with internal partners (Crisis Management, Intelligence Analysis, Global Security Operations Centers, Global Travel, HR, Legal as needed) and support vendor engagement and performance activities as assigned (e.g., metrics, service reviews, escalations).

Key Skills and Qualifications Needed:
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in one or more of the following areas: security operations/GSOC, intelligence analysis, corporate travel security operations, incident coordination/response, travel program operations, risk operations, or related fields.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret intelligence or threat reporting and translate it into clear, actionable summaries for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage operational monitoring workflows (e.g., GSOC platforms, Ontic, Slack, alerting/monitoring tools, case management, travel tracking platforms) and coordinating cross-functional response.
  • Ability to develop and deliver training, enablement, and communications (virtual and/or in-person).
  • Strong writing, documentation, and stakeholder management skills; ability to influence without authority.
  • Sound judgment and discretion when handling sensitive traveler/incident information (privacy and need-to-know).
  • Ability to travel up to 50% to deliver training, support exercises/tabletops, and assist with flagship event support.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in security administration, business, international relations, emergency management, or related field or equivalent practical experience.
  • Practical application experience with travel risk management concepts and/or ISO 31030 guidance (training/coursework or on-the-job application).
  • Experience partnering with a travel assistance provider and supporting incident response coordination.
  • Business continuity/crisis management practical experience and/or certification (preferred).
  • Additional language skills, international travel and global operations experience.

Additional Information
  • Primarily office hours with flexibility to support urgent traveler security incidents as needed.
  • Individual Contributor role; may coordinate vendors and cross-functional teams but does not manage employees.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $79,100 to $158,200 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
