Position Overview:

Virtual Supervising Psychiatrist providing supervisory oversight to Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) in outpatient clinic setting for Ascends service lines and any additional service lines as determined.

Key Areas of Ownership:

  • Provide supervisory oversight for nurse practitioners and physician assistants, ensuring quality of care and adherence to established treatment protocols and state regulations for children, adolescents, and adult patients
  • Available for case reviews as necessary
  • Available to meet with the team once per month
  • Previous experience in general psychiatry preferred

Qualifications:

  • Active, unrestricted California MD or DO license in good standing
  • Must be board-certified
  • Ability to provide supervision remotely

Physical Requirements: This is a fully remote position but may require in-person attendance as company needs arise. Please be aware the below physical requirements should be considered prior to applying to the position:

  • Prolonged Sitting : Ability to sit for extended periods during working hours.
  • Manual Dexterity : Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for using a computer keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment.
  • Visual Requirements : Adequate vision for reading computer screens and documents.
  • Communication : Clear verbal and written communication skills for virtual meetings and correspondence.
  • Hearing : Sufficient hearing ability for participating in phone calls or virtual meetings.
  • Work Environment : Access to a quiet, dedicated workspace free from distractions with reliable internet connectivity.

Job Type : Contract

Compensation : Must be able to allocate a minimum of 12 hours per month for scheduled meetings and as-needed case reviews. Compensation is determined by the total number of assigned APPs. The current SP is slated to be assigned 5 APPs at the commencement of services.

  • 1-3: $2,000/month
  • 4-6: $3,000/month
  • 7-8: $4,000/month.
