Job description

FARGO, NORTH DAKOTA (USA). Sanford Health is looking for a BE/BC general surgeon fellowship trained in surgical critical care with extensive experience in trauma to join their emergency general surgery, trauma, and surgical critical care team in Fargo, North Dakota.

Practice Details
  • This position covers the Surgical Critical Care Service, Emergency General Surgery, and Trauma Surgery Service.
  • Team consists of ten surgeons and six nurse practitioners.
  • Region’s only Level 1 Adult Trauma Center, Level 2 Pediatric Trauma Center, and Joint Commission accredited Comprehensive Stroke Center.
  • Trauma Volume 2,700 per year, 95% blunt trauma.
  • High volume complex emergency general surgery.
  • Obtain an academic appointment through University of North Dakota Medical School.
  • Teaching of medical students & surgical residents and research opportunities are available.
  • Critical Care Fellowship beginning 2026.
