About the Position

TravelNurseSource is working with Concentric Healthcare Staffing to find a qualified Labor/Delivery RN in Albuquerque, New Mexico, 87106!

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 4x12-Hour Shifts (7:00โ€“19:30) | 36 or 48 hours per week available

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Labor and Delivery unit at a Level I Trauma, acute care teaching facility with 554 staffed beds
  • Maintain a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio throughout assigned shifts
  • Perform and assist with procedures including cerclage, external/internal monitoring, AROM, medically assisted deliveries, C-section, version, PPTL, and massive transfusion protocol
  • Demonstrate competency in fetal heart monitoring (FHM) and circulator skills; manage meconium deliveries, neonatal palliative care, nitrous administration, and malignant hyperthermia protocol
  • Float within scope to antepartum and postpartum units as needed to meet facility demands
  • Fulfill on-call requirements: 12 hours over 4 weeks (4x12 contract) or 24 hours over 4 weeks (3x12 contract)
Required Qualifications
  • Active RN license in New Mexico (may be pending at time of submission)
  • Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience; experience in a large L&D unit or facility required
  • Demonstrated experience in postpartum care, newborn nursing, and meconium deliveries
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required (NRP must be in hand at time of submission; RQI certifications not accepted)
  • Proficiency with Cerner electronic health records
  • Non-local candidates only; must reside more than 100 miles from the facility and have a non-local driver's license on file
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Prior travel nursing experience in Labor and Delivery
  • Familiarity with advanced L&D procedures such as C-hyst, neonatal palliative care protocols, and nitrous oxide administration
  • Experience managing or assisting with massive transfusion protocol and malignant hyperthermia
