Work Environment

This position operates in a fully remote setting, utilizing cutting-edge telehealth technology to reach and support clients throughout California. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments that include a thorough review of each client's trauma history and psychological wellbeing.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aimed at facilitating trauma recovery, with a focus on the unique needs and strengths of each patient.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) tailored to the complexities of individual client experiences.
  • Lead both individual and group therapy sessions, providing a safe space for patients to process trauma, develop effective coping strategies, and promote emotional healing.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with psychiatrists, case managers, and a multidisciplinary team to ensure that patients receive cohesive and comprehensive care.
  • Provide immediate crisis intervention for clients facing trauma-related emergencies, ensuring timely and effective support.
  • Educate patients and their families regarding trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and the resources available to them, empowering them to take an active role in their recovery.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions, treatments, and outcomes in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Engage in case consultations, team meetings, and continuous professional development activities focused on trauma-informed care practices.
  • Stay abreast of emerging research and best practices in trauma therapy to continually elevate the services we offer.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our practice mainly serves individuals affected by trauma, including those dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. We are committed to providing a supportive atmosphere conducive to healing, allowing clients to explore their experiences and overcome significant barriers to mental wellness.

Qualifications
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
  • Current, valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in California.
  • A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience, preferably in trauma-informed care.
  • In-depth understanding of trauma-related disorders and experience with trauma-focused treatment modalities.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, characterized by a warm, compassionate, and non-judgmental approach.
  • The ability to remain composed and effective in high-stress situations.
  • Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems, ensuring effective documentation and care coordination.
Preferred Experience
  • Demonstrated experience delivering trauma-focused therapies, with a strong foundation in EMDR and TF-CBT approaches.
  • Experience working within a telehealth framework, including familiarity with virtual communication tools and platforms.
