• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' histories and determine the need for specific treatment interventions.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans tailored to each patient's unique needs, emphasizing trauma recovery and resilience-building strategies.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), effectively addressing trauma-related disorders.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping patients process their trauma, acquire coping strategies, and promote holistic healing.
• Engage in collaborative care with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive treatment approaches for all patients.
• Provide crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring patients receive timely assistance and follow-up care.
• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses and available resources, empowering them with knowledge to aid in their recovery.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring clarity in communication with other healthcare professionals.
• Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing training focused on the latest advancements in trauma-informed care.

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LCPC in the state of Maryland.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct trauma-informed assessments and to deliver effective trauma-focused therapy.
• Strong knowledge of trauma-related disorders and resilience-building practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to patient care.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and related computer applications.

While two years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling is preferred, we welcome all qualified candidates who demonstrate strong skills in trauma-informed care methodologies. Familiarity with working in community health settings and an interest in collaborating with multidisciplinary teams will enhance your candidacy.

The salary range for this position is competitive, with annual compensation between USD 70,000 and USD 110,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additional benefits include:
