MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
FLSA: Full Time, Non-Exempt
Reports to: Director of Facilities
General Summary: Responsible for attending to the school facilities, providing a clean environment for staff, students, and visitors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
•Responsible for maintenance and upkeep of school buildings, grounds, mechanical, plumbing and electrical systems including but not limited to, pressure washing, painting, trash removal and setting up and breaking down chairs and tables for school events.
•Maintains appropriate levels of all consumables and replaces when appropriate
•Maintains relationships with outside vendors.
•Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Facilities.
Requirements:
•Must have integrity and pay attention to detail.
•Must have prior experience as a maintenance technician.
•Must be able to read, interpret and follow written instructions
•Ability to work with little supervision, maintaining a high level of performance
•Ability to prioritize and have good time management skills
•Ability to work quickly without compromising quality
•Must be friendly, reliable and present a neat personal appearance
•Willingness to learn new cleaning methods and how to use various pieces of equipment

•High school diploma or equivalent desired
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, vendors, employees, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions or diagrams.
