JOB MISSION:
Responsible to lead and oversee daily transportation routing activities, supporting distribution operations, and driving continuous improvement through data-driven problem solving. This role ensures efficient route execution, compliance with standard processes, and effective communication across operations, customer operations, and corporate teams.
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:
  • Performs the full complement of duties for the routing department; work in the function to ensure routing deadlines are met.
  • Coordinate and oversee daily transportation routing activities to ensure timely pick-up appointments.
  • Monitor routing and distribution processes, identify issues, and implement corrective actions to improve performance.
  • Analyze operational data and recommend process improvements to enhance service, productivity, and efficiency.
  • Support communication between distribution operations and corporate stakeholders to ensure alignment with business objectives and customer expectations and to resolve operational challenges.
  • Responds to team's barriers and process bottlenecks. Documents the reasons for failures and any corrective actions.
  • Conducts team instructions sessions, discussions, and updates, i.e., routing process SOP's, work instructions, customer communication, and best practices.
  • Ensures adherence to company's policies and procedures. Notifies the supervisor and the human resources department of any performance, employee relations issues, and discipline problems.
  • Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve routing discrepancies.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures with transportation routing, logistics, and demand-planning, particularly with wholesale accounts.
  • Demonstrated ability to read, write and speak English fluently.
  • Strong verbal and written skills utilizing appropriate demeanor, proper grammar/spelling, and respectful tone to communicate clearly and effectively; professional phone demeanor.
  • Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel), WMS and email.
  • Ability to lead, motivate, problem solve and communicate in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills; detail oriented.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities with a sense of urgency is essential.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent and 2 plus years of experience in a warehouse environment or a related area required, preferred. Prior experience with customer service preferred.
  • Proven track record of stability and dependability in the workplace.
  • Sit/stand and work on a computer for long periods of time.

Salt Lake City, UT Distribution Center Only Pay Range: $25.10 - $32.15 - $39.25 Hourly (actual base pay varying based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, internal equity, geographic location, and more.)
