Your workspace will be equipped with the necessary tools for secure video sessions and electronic documentation, ensuring that client confidentiality is upheld at all times.

As a Mental Health Counselor, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments to establish individual client needs.
• Formulating tailored treatment plans based on evidence-based modalities aimed at promoting personal growth.
• Delivering individual therapy sessions with regular monitoring of client progress and adaptation of therapy goals.
• Providing teletherapy options to enhance accessibility for clients facing mobility or transportation challenges.
• Accurately documenting client interactions and treatment progress in compliance with ethical and legal standards.
• Engaging in ongoing professional development and staying updated with the latest therapeutic techniques and research findings.

Our clientele ranges from individuals facing anxiety, depression, trauma, and various mental health disorders. As a Mental Health Counselor, you will work with diverse populations, tailoring your approach to meet each client’s specific needs. You will play a vital role in helping clients navigate their challenges and achieve their personal and therapeutic goals.

The ideal candidate for this position will possess:

• A current and valid license as a LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Virginia.
• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster strong therapeutic relationships with clients.
• An empathetic, compassionate, and non-judgmental attitude toward clients.
• Effective time-management and organizational skills to maintain an efficient caseload.

While we welcome a range of experience, candidates with the following will be preferred:

• Experience using telehealth platforms for remote counseling.
• Familiarity with diagnostic assessments and individualized treatment planning.
• Background in trauma-informed care techniques and evidence-based therapeutic modalities.

General Hope Counseling Center offers a competitive salary range of USD 90,000 to 100,000 per year, depending on caseload and experience. Our benefits package includes:
