As a fully remote practice, our therapists enjoy a flexible working environment that allows them to deliver quality care from the comfort of their own homes. Our organization values a culture of collaboration and support, where counselors participate in regular team meetings to discuss best practices, share successes, and nurture professional development. Technology plays a significant role in our operations, and we utilize secure teletherapy platforms to facilitate seamless client interactions. Our team is committed to providing a confidential and respectful setting for both our clients and our staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' mental health and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to their specific needs and goals.
  • Utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed care, to provide effective individual therapy sessions.
  • Establish therapeutic goals with clients and diligently monitor their progress to ensure positive outcomes and adjust treatment as necessary.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate documentation in compliance with ethical standards and organizational policies, ensuring client confidentiality.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development by attending workshops, training sessions, and obtaining continuing education credits to enhance therapeutic skills.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clients range from children to adults facing various challenges, including trauma recovery, anxiety disorders, depression, relationship issues, and family dynamics. The role of the mental health counselor is critical in providing tailored support to each individual, helping them navigate their unique situations. Counselors will work closely with clients to build trust and rapport, which is essential for effective therapy and engagement.

Qualifications
  • Current and valid state license as an LMFT, LMHC, or LICSW.
  • A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients and collaborate with team members.
  • Empathetic and compassionate attitude with a non-judgmental approach to client care.
  • Organizational and time-management skills to maintain a productive caseload and meet deadlines.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in a community mental health setting, particularly with diverse populations or marginalized communities.
  • Background in providing teletherapy services, demonstrating proficiency with virtual communication tools and platforms.
  • Specialization in trauma-informed care or experience working with clients dealing with significant life transitions.
