Job description

J. Polep Distribution Services, a division of National Convenience Distributors (NCD), is seeking a Transportation Recruiter & Onboarding Coordinator to support our transportation operations across 13 distribution locations throughout the Eastern United States.
This position is responsible for recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and supporting Class A, Class B, and non-CDL drivers. The ideal candidate is organized, responsive, and understands the importance of timely communication when recruiting transportation professionals.
Responsibilities
• Recruit, screen, and hire Class A, Class B, and non-CDL drivers
• Manage applicant pipelines using Tenstreet and other recruiting platforms
• Maintain job postings and build relationships with driving schools and recruiting partners
• Coordinate interviews, background checks, drug screens, and onboarding requirements
• Conduct new hire orientation and onboarding activities
• Track driver licenses, medical cards, and other compliance-related documentation
• Maintain records in Tenstreet, Paycom, Geotab, and other transportation systems
• Support transportation leadership with driver compliance, evaluations, and recruiting initiatives
• Travel periodically to company locations, recruiting events, and driving schools as needed requiring occasional Saturday work.
Qualifications
• Recruiting, HR, transportation, logistics, or related experience preferred
• Driver recruiting or transportation recruiting experience strongly preferred
• Experience with Tenstreet, Paycom, Geotab, or similar systems preferred
• Knowledge of DOT/FMCSA regulations is a plus
• Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain a sense of urgency throughout the hiring process
• CDL experience or CDL license is a plus
