Job description

As a Transportation Operations Specialist (Motor), you will provide nationwide support for the "Accident Management Center'' activity to customers and other Fleet personnel on a diverse range of technical, administrative and analytical functions. 
Location of position: GSA , FAS, Fleet Vehicle Services, Maintenance and Accident Service provide nationwide support for the Accident Management Center.

We are currently filling 11 vacancies, but additional vacancies may be filled as needed.

Qualifications:

The GS-11 salary range starts at $74,678 per year. Locality will be determined based on duty location.

If you are a new federal employee, your starting salary will likely be set at the Step 1 of the grade for which you are selected.

To qualify, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 level or higher in the Federal service. Specialized experience is experience:

  • Coordinating the vehicle accident reports for accident damage repair;
  • Determining cost effectiveness for vehicle collision damage to authorize repairs up to the micro-purchase threshold level;
  • Coordinating with stakeholders to ensure all required information has been gathered to process accident reports; and
  • Conducting analysis of fleet and/or accident management operations to assist in developing recommendations for improvement to the program. OR

Education: Possess a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or have successfully completed 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree, or LL.M., in a field related to this position. Your major study must be in one of the following areas: accounting, business administration, commerce, economics, finance, industrial management, statistics, traffic management, transportation, motor mechanics, or other fields related to the position. OR

Combination of Education and Experience: Possess a combination of graduate level education and appropriate experience that together meet the qualification requirements of this position.

This position has a positive education requirement: Applicants must submit a copy of their college or university transcript(s) and certificates by the closing date of announcements to verify qualifications. If selected, an official transcript will be required prior to appointment.
