The Senior Manager -ย Fleet Operationsย is responsible forย leading fleet operations, asset management, maintenance programs, regulatory compliance, vehicle procurement, and fleet electrification initiatives across the DHL Express network. This position serves as a strategic leader in driving fleet performance, operational efficiency, sustainability, and technology innovation while ensuring the organizationย maintainsย a safe, compliant, and cost-effective fleet.ย 

The successful candidate will oversee the lifecycle management of fleet assets, manage critical vendor relationships, support digital transformation initiatives, andย leadย the deployment and operationalization of electric vehicles (EVs). This role partners closely with Operations, Maintenance, Procurement, Safety, Finance, OEMs, and technology providers to support the company's long-term transportation and sustainabilityย objectives.ย 

Keyย Responsibilities:ย 

  • Schedule and oversee preventative maintenance programsย 
  • Track vehicle inspections and regulatory compliance (DOT, FMCSA)ย 
  • Maintain licensing,ย insuranceย and environmental compliance with help of outside vendorsย 
  • Manage vehicle acquisition,ย specificationsย and procurementย 
  • Direct OEM engagement on vehicle specificationsย 
  • Analyze fleet performance data toย identifyย areas for improvementย 
  • Assistย with the digitalization efforts as it relatesย toย  predictiveย AIย 
  • Operationalize the Company's EV fleet andย eGSEย 
  • Partner with electric vehicle manufacturers to test,ย validate, andย procureย electric capabilities for the company's business unitsย 
  • Collaborate with Sustainability team to develop and refine KPI's and reporting on EV fleetย 
  • Performs other job-related duties as assignedย 

Skills & Qualifications:ย 

  • BA or BS degree or equivalent experienceย ย ย 
  • 5+ years of experience in fleet management, project managementย 
  • Experience managing multiple outside vendorsย 
  • Experienceย assistingย with vendor negotiations and dealing with Procurementย ย ย 
  • Experience digitizing manual processesย 
  • Experience with deploying electric vehiclesย 
  • Knowledge of plug-in electric vehicles and GSE landscape, including specifications and availability of current and future modes of transportationย
