General Job Summary:

Responsible to release approved parts for shipment to Outside Service Vendors. Must accurately complete paperwork and   follow special instructions indicated on Traveler.

Requirements:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   • Follows all safety processes and procedures in accordance with job requirements and company policy.
  • Communicates with McAlpin drivers on daily routes while maintaining record of shipping information
  • Verifies and accurately counts parts staged in the area for shipment.
  • Properly packs or secures parts as indicated on Traveler.
  • Corresponds with Purchasing for Purchase Order and authorization to ship.
  • Maintains up-to-date Shipping Log for tracking parts.
  • Loads and unloads trucks.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications.
  • Background using ERP systems and shipping software.
  • Inspects incoming freight for damage.
  • Must be capable of driving a forklift truck.
  • Other duties, as assigned.

Education/Experience

High   school diploma or general education degree (GED)


1-2 years related experience or training

or equivalent combination   of education and experience.

Other Requirements:
 Ability to operate forklift.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, having basic knowledge of the computer is   preferred. 

Language Skills: 

Basic   Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short   correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to   effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to   customers, clients, and other Associates of the organization.
